We got to Hanningfield about 9.30 and went to book our boat and get some much needed info off the rangers. The rangers at Hanningfield are excellent and always have great advice on what to use and how to use it, where the fish are coming from etc etc.
A decision was made and we went to get the life jackets on, set up the rods and get out on the water. We headed towards the inlet as most of the fish were coming from that area. As we approached we could see every boat on the venue in the area. This was going to be tough!!!
Over the next 2 hours we had 4 and lost 3 then the pressure of all the boats took it’s toll and the fishing dried up. We moved several times, fishing over the bubble lines in the middle of the reservoir and to the far bay, all to no avail.
At 5.30pm we made our way back to the boat house, tired but happy with our day out.
