The lake has held the qualifiers for the British Carp Angling Championships in recent years, with fish to just under 40lb. It also holds huge Pike, Tench and Bream, so is a very good fishery.
Now a cable tow system will be erected 25 metres from the bank that will tow wake boarders and skiers around the lake every 30 seconds and they will have periods of open water swimming.
To the company’s credit though, they are opening an angling academy there for bringing new anglers into the sport which will be held on a 2 acre bay on one end of the lake.
Win some lose some as they say. This is mixed results but at least they haven’t lost the angling rights to the venue.
